Before accessing most schemes, your child needs a Unique Disability ID (UDID) card. This is the official government proof of disability and is required for most benefits. Apply online at swavlambancard.gov.in or visit your District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand.
A single, unified disability identity card accepted across India. Required to access almost all disability benefits and reservations. Apply online or at your DDRC. Processing time is typically 30–60 days.
Apply at swavlambancard.gov.in →Provides concessional loans to persons with disabilities for education, self-employment, and skill development. Loans are available at subsidised interest rates. Parents of autistic children can apply for education and therapy-related expenses.
Apply at nhfdc.nic.in →Scholarships available for students with disabilities at pre-matric, post-matric, and top class levels. Autistic students with a valid UDID card are eligible to apply. Apply through the National Scholarship Portal.
Apply at scholarships.gov.in →Provides health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for hospitalisation. Disability-related treatments may be covered. Check eligibility at your nearest Common Service Centre or government hospital.
Monthly pension for persons with disabilities with 40% or more disability. Autistic individuals with a UDID card and relevant certificate are eligible. Apply at your local Tehsil or District Social Welfare Office in Khatima or Udham Singh Nagar.
Persons with disabilities holding a valid UDID card are entitled to free or heavily discounted travel on state-run buses. Apply at your nearest UTC depot with your UDID card and disability certificate.
